By "kill" you mean shout a lot, take a cellphone movie of the thief leaving and then stand around for an hour until you realize the cops aren't coming?
The amount of package theft daily in Manhattan is enormous. Require a signature for anything the delivery co won't replace.
But also, what courier service is leaving the packages on a stoop and not being a locked door of some sort? UPS once left a note on my door saying that they left a big package on the sidewalk outside of the church across from my street because "people won't steal from churches." (eye roll)
Based on the parked cars in the pictures, this does not appear to be Saint Marks Place. If this is Saint Marks Place, then the cars are parked on the north side of the street. There is no parking on the north side for all three blocks of Saint Marks.
The sequence of pictures is confusing. By the time stamps, they seem to show one guy bringing packages up the steps and then kind of arranging them there. And that's it. Is this just the delivery guy? What are we supposed to understand, just that sometime later these packages were stolen?
Home Depot (I know I still feel guilty about it) left a 40 gallon water heater in front on my door(the sidewalk) at 7:30 am. The delivery persons did not ring the doorbell and lost out on a tip.
The first photo is simply the thief coming up the stairs. The second and third, he's loading up his roller cart with the boxes he is taking. Believe me, I know.

Anger issues?
ReplyDeleteNot every person who's angry about something has "issues"

ReplyDeleteI know, a cliché, but it's Bezos' world, we just live in it.
Dear Saint Marks resident, if you would like to hire an exterminator to deal with your package thief, let me know. Reasonable rates.

I live on Saint Marks Place. Packages are constantly left outside of our building on the stoop. Ridiculous

Why are people making fun of the person who wrote the sign? Clearly they are upset that their delivery got stolen.
