Meanwhile, while this won't be of help to the residents who live around the former New Phoenix... a new laundromat (Laundry Mart!) opened in early July at 60 Avenue B between Fourth Street and Fifth Street (just realized that we never noted this arrival)...

Good to know. Lala Laundry has raised their prices 60%(!) in the last two years to cover their remodel and I’ve been wanting a close by alternative ever since.
There is a laundromat right across the street at 194 First Ave. Smaller but only a few steps away
