Yay, Saifees! They are my go-to place for all the houseplants I end up killing over the course of a year. Time to load up for 2023!
ReplyDeleteLove the holiday lights. I was walking on 1st Avenue by 10th Street tonight and saw a bright glow of the lights through the rain and fog and wondered what it was from. Now they just need to put some of those owls that they sell in that forest of Christmas trees for extra fun.
ReplyDeleteHere’s. our local Astor Place book seller sing his original Christmas song: https://youtu.be/v8vvF4SCUOA
ReplyDeleteGreat song - this man's energy is a year-round gift to the hood!
DeleteStill mourning the loss of the Tunnel Bar on that corner. Many a good drink and wonder connections made in that narrow tunnel!
ReplyDeleteI love this and the xmas tree stands, though I admit I think because of how the restaurants have so obnoxiously been taking over certain sidewalks since pandemic, I'm more sensitive to places like key food that leave about 3 feet of space.
ReplyDeleteLong live Saifee's!
