    I've noticed a lot of new trees in the neighborhood recently which always makes me happy. That must be a rewarding job. Looking forward to the new trees they're going to plant soon here on 9th in front of the shuttered Cloister Cafe.

    Those look like actual trees. Not just saplings that will be dead three weeks after they go in the ground, as per usual.

    Finally, the city is replacing trees on city streets in the EV/LES and not just allowing contractors to cut them down all the time.

    East 5th street too!!! Near Avenue A by Mast books between 506 and 508.......the notorious soil death star plot!!!!!!

    Lets hope there was some serious soil watching!!!!! Love this!!!!

    Also E Houston between C & LDR has a few (the tiny type, not these monsters). Weirdly they ignored several existing empty tree beds when they did the work.
