I see that they are opening another J Crew store on Lafayette Street just a few blocks away. Maybe they are going to close this one and consolidate it with the new store.
ReplyDeleteThis is lame. They literally just opened during the last several months only to shut down temporarily? I spent years working in retail. Those employees rely on wages to survive, which aren't that great unless you're in management. So, where does the staff go until then? Are they laid off or transferred to another store? It's a lousy thing to do. Why did J Crew spend a lot of money only to close soon after? Something here doesn't add up. Honestly, this location isn't a shopping destination. They should have done their homework and chosen a more sought after location such as Prince, Mott, Elizabeth Street, or even Kenmore square.
