As previously noted, the 87,500-square foot space at the landmarked 770 Broadway is the first Manhattan outpost for the grocer.
EVG's Stacie Joy received a tour of the two-level supermarket back in July. You can revisit that post here.

Looking forward to this. Wegmans in New Jersey is great. And their presence here hopefully will force Westside Market to rethink their high prices.
ReplyDeleteWow! I remember the announcement of their arrival in late 2021. Now, we are here almost two years later. I've never been to this store, but am looking forward to their impending opening. Yay! A win for our neighborhood. Perhaps this gives Whole Foods some competition.
ReplyDeleteI'm already on line !
ReplyDelete@7:25. Same here. Hoping it will force down prices at predatory capitalist Whole Foods too. Undoubtedly that is naive considering Stacie’s story mentioned a champagne and seafood bar at the corner of Wegmans. So cringe worthy and hard to wrap my head around that I can’t bear to go back and check it out in her post.
ReplyDeleteI shop at the Wegmans in Dickson City PA all the time and there are many good bargains, sales, digital coupons, and high quality house brands that make shopping on a budget totally doable. It’s a good store.
ReplyDeleteI think the house brands are what's affordable and popular. Normal brands not so much. More likely to affect TJs in that way.
ReplyDeleteMy mom luuuuuves Wegmans, lol
Can't wait to buy items shoplifted from this store over on 14th or 15th street
ReplyDeleteON MY WAY!
ReplyDeleteI was born and raised in upstate NY, and I'm giddy with excitement!
