Sad. I remember when this site was Ratner’s Restaurant. I could still see the white linen tablecloths on the round dining tables. It was quite elegant.

ReplyDeleteA major loss to the neighborhood. A supermarket existed in this space since the 60s.

ReplyDeleteOne of the vestiges of Ratner's—don't know how many people noticed this—were the red-and-gold-leaf tiles in the vestibule.
