Openings: Yokox Omakase on Avenue B

Photos and reporting by Stacie Joy

Yokox Omakase debuted at 41 Avenue B between Third Street and Fourth Street this week.
They offer a 15-course omakase dinner for $89. (Additional rolls/pieces may be possible if the chef isn't too busy.)

The owners are waiting for the liquor license to arrive. At that time, they plan to offer a sake menu.

Hours:
Monday through Thursday, 5-10 p.m.
Friday, 5-11 p.m.
Saturday, 3-11 p.m.
Sunday, 3-10 p.m.

Reservations and more info are on the Yokox Omakase website here.

  1. Hope it's good! This kind of relatively inexpensive, quick-table-turn places can be an appealing option in between the supermarket sushi and the $600 3-hour omakase choices.

  2. No vibe. And why should they get a liquor license the taco place next door owned by the worst people somehow got an all you can drink brunch going which should be way against any agreement made with CB3 yet they somehow opened with it as the focal point of their menu. I'm worry about this stretch come spring. At least this spot is calm.

  3. Beautiful looking space! Surprised they popped up out of the blue so close to opening. Here's hoping they get a liquor license quickly. A sushi bar omakase place like this is the last thing anyone should worry about.
