For Minneapolis

Several readers shared the video for Bruce Springsteen's protest song "Streets of Minneapolis," released on Wednesday in response to the shooting deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

As of this morning, it was No. 1 on the iTunes charts.

  3. Ohio by Crosby, Stills Nash&Young was a powerful unforgettable reminder of the horrors of government suppression of protest(Kent State, 1971). Bruce follows in the great tradition of American protest...Guthrie, Baez and Collins to name a few. The song is a slow build to a very moving end. Thank you... Thank you.
