Scenes from the Knicks championship parade

For a few hours today, Lower Manhattan belonged to the Knicks — and their fans.

As the city's first NBA championship parade in more than 50 years made its way through the Canyon of Heroes, East Village photographer Kyle de Vre was in the middle of the celebration, documenting the confetti-filled scene from street level.

The following photos capture moments from a memorable day for generations of Knicks fans...

  1. I am incredibly proud of this NY team! They truly did the work and maintained a positive attitude and excellent sportsmanship throughout the entire series.

I am also so happy for the fans and for New York City. The celebration down the Canyon of Heroes was absolutely riveting!

Let’s keep this positive energy going as we move forward. I hope we can all continue to share the love and remain kind to one another.

  2. wow! best pics of this event. I thought I'd seen them all but these are the best by far - featuring individual players - makes me so happy to be a new yorker

  3. Hopefully the players won’t show up at the White House. Go New York!
