The Lower East Side Puerto Rican Parade is back for a third year tomorrow

The third annual Lower East Side Puerto Rican Parade & Festival takes place tomorrow (Saturday) from 4 to 8:30 p.m. 

The parade begins at Columbia and Rivington Streets and proceeds north to 12th Street and Avenue D, followed by a community celebration highlighting Puerto Rican culture, heritage, and resilience.

Organizers say the event aims to honor the contributions of Puerto Ricans on the Lower East Side while bringing together neighbors through music, dance and community spirit.

    There is already an Loisaida Festival which is decades old and well respected. There are ample elderly residents that live in the surrounding buildings on 12 street that are not considered when these decisions are made and music is blasting beyond normal volumes. It not advertised with advanced noticed so plans can be made to leave the area nor does it end on the advertised time of 8:30pm. Therefore the drunkfest and mess continues in the area way past the advertised time for local residents to deal with. Great way to celebrate for your most vulnerable population.

      It's the third year, so idk what you mean by advanced notice.. locals are also going to that event?? It's ONE day. yall pick and choose fr omg shut up. be hella drunk loud transplants literally almost every damn day, crowding the streets late asf, but a one-day Puerto Rican festival is such an inconvenience. nyc is loud get over it.
