A little more color is coming to Avenue A later this fall.
Tipsy Tie Dye is opening an East Village outpost at 191 Avenue A at 12th Street.
The company currently operates locations in Hoboken and at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, N.J.
The concept is a hands-on "sip and style" tie-dye studio. Guests choose from wearable items — including T-shirts, sweatshirts and bags — then select colors and create their own designs with guidance from staff. The studios also host birthdays, date nights, family sessions and private events.
Siblings Katie and Kevin Tague founded Tipsy Tie Dye in 2018, initially holding pop-ups around Hoboken and Jersey City before opening a permanent Hoboken studio.
The Avenue A location is expected to open this fall; an exact date hasn't been announced.
