Tuesday's parting shot

An in-progress look today at the nearly six-story-tall mural of Jean-Michel Basquiat on the SW corner of the Bowery at Great Jones.

The artist is the New Zealand-based Owen Dippie. 

At the time of his death in 1988, Basquiat lived two buildings to the west at 57 Great Jones St.
