Pierogi Day returns to the East Village Meat Market

The East Village Meat Market is bringing back its annual Pierogi Day on Saturday (Oct. 10). 

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the longtime Ukrainian market at 139 Second Ave. between St. Mark’s Place and Ninth Street will offer five varieties of pierogi for $1 each.
The shop, which has been in this location since 1970, holds the annual event as a thank-you to customers and a chance for newcomers to stop by. 

And as we've seen, this event draws a crowd, so plan accordingly...
