Is it supposed to be funny? You stubbed out your cigarette in a vagina? I find it repulsive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-27665838118428479372021-04-03T09:31:16.151-04:002021-04-03T09:31:16.151-04:00The male erections, more commonly called dick pics...The male erections, more commonly called dick pics, are just one artist's perspective on male genitalia. Interpret as you see fit. If you're into more into vulvas a young lady at Union Sq sells brightly colored ashtrays in the shape of vaginas. In the EV there is always something for everyone!XTCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-61436066383880173832021-04-02T18:00:37.775-04:002021-04-02T18:00:37.775-04:00Criminy! Just like with the Pink Lords video I feel torn, because there's a great degree of talent involved here, but I also feel like it's in the service of objectification; specifically the male erection (sorry, if that was rude!). But a nude female with a bag over her head, seemingly in resignation, perhaps crying over over phallic machinery, I just don't know how that promotes feminism and gender equity. I've been out of the art scene for a long time, so maybe I have catching up to do. Love that doggo tho!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-60873364199108729112021-04-02T12:42:45.017-04:002021-04-02T12:42:45.017-04:00I studied art history at The New School several ye...I studied art history at The New School several years ago while completing my undergraduate degree. Our role as students would be to visit small and large galleries such as this throughout Manhattan and write term papers on the content and execution. I miss those trips and how engaged I became with some of the pieces. Many of these are fresh, original and evocative. I can't wait to visit them soon. Much thanks for featuring this artist and their compelling body of extraordinary work. I feel inspired. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
