They can get you a ticket to go anywhere in the country. They will need a name and contact number for someone at the destination. Good luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-26282599894412688282019-03-27T22:22:32.031-04:002019-03-27T22:22:32.031-04:00There’s a big newish building for low income senio...There’s a big newish building for low income senior Chinese housing directly across the street. I own my apartment on this block and felt uneasy about what this building would be but they need a place somewhere in the city. If you look at the crime maps on Trulia, every block from Houston to 10th Street between C and D have the highest crime rates in the EV. If you think that just beciase you’re not right on Avenue D that you are somehow safe, you are dreaming.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-38514629150249045682019-03-27T13:15:44.702-04:002019-03-27T13:15:44.702-04:00Hi, where would a homeless person get the help nee...Hi, where would a homeless person get the help needed to purchase a ticket out of town? Because you're right, the Shelters here in New York are dangerous, physically and mentally. And you can be in there for years. They don't find apartments for you quickly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-58083955120307481402019-03-27T11:10:54.660-04:002019-03-27T11:10:54.660-04:00And they wonder why people don't want to go in...And they wonder why people don't want to go into these shelters. Robberies and assaults happen every day at most of these places. The city dept of homeless service police keep it quiet. They don't want the public to know what really goes on in these places. Its sad how the homeless get treated. If you are white or gay don't go into the system. You will be a target. Have them buy you a ticket and leave town- yes they still do that for the homeless. It's a great block with great people. The drug dealers and bodegas are on Avenue D so obviously you aren't frequenting the block like you say you are.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-71193498474504536832019-03-27T09:41:25.179-04:002019-03-27T09:41:25.179-04:00I remember well the years of renovation that went ...I remember well the years of renovation that went into this building and being told it was for Foster kids aging out of the system. A better use for this building would be low cost Senior housing those occupants would not be crime prone or violent. Senior Citizen Housing is very much needed in the East Village.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-23673520698984249452019-03-27T09:06:30.860-04:002019-03-27T09:06:30.860-04:00There's two shelters on that blockThere's two shelters on that blockAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-31329489926449224682019-03-27T01:22:26.787-04:002019-03-27T01:22:26.787-04:00My condolences to the victim and his friends and f...My condolences to the victim and his friends and family. I pass this place all the time, it’s a rough block. In spite of the nice gentrified looking Wayland (where CBS regularly shoots the TV show God Friended Me) and the laptop briagdes camped out at 9th Street Espresso on Avenue C, just go down towards Ave. D and it’s an open air drug bazaar and gang hangout, espeicially near the bodegas and liquor store. Don’t look too hard at the drug runners who are parked on 10th Street or they will think you are 5-0. At least this is one block where no one ever says, “And this used to be such a nice safe neighborhood.”Giovannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11061991537085810824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-38562050751654414142019-03-26T22:47:16.430-04:002019-03-26T22:47:16.430-04:00When did that place become a men's shelter?
