It took over the space that long held a barber shop/bookie joint, the last in the area as I've heard. The store was for rent for some months, then B&B took over the lease. They got shut down during their renovation for unsafe conditions, then twice had evictions notices for nonpayment of rent (at $1,600 a month, one of the cheapest rents in a pretty cheap neighborhood).
