  1. I was there! I was there! Well, you're no comment speaks volumes.

Bunch of students and parents taking up the whole sidewalks, just standing there, clueless, staring into nothingness, and they won't even move nor budge knowing someone behind them is trying to get through. And during brunch at Veselka, there were some of them acting privileged and entitled frowning on the locals and barking orders (esp. the parents) at the wait staff.

Oh wait, this is nothing new; they've been here for a while. We're just getting a new batch of these neighborhood destruction jonesses androids.

But not all of them are that bad -- some I actually welcome -- fresh start in an unfamiliar surroundings(well the way EV had been jonesified, this would soon be a familiar surrounding to them), a new city, for them to "grow". You can see the awe and excitement in their eyes.

  2. they can't afford it without mommie and daddie footing the bills-so they will be here for about 4 years and then move on--they don't care about anything--ie class-classes but class-hmm-

  3. From what I witnessed (at least this weekend), the parents were a lot worse than the kids...this sense of entitlement. I guess the parents are all bigshots in whatever suburb they live.

And I'm with you on the class comment, GFPB....

  5. I agree. Just push them to the side, actually push them. It's even funnier if you bark at them after the push. It gives them a thrill to have a real NY experience with a crazy person.
