No Cure for this location?
We noticed that Cure was not open this past weekend. Maybe the owners of the small plates/wine bar decided to take the weekend off. Though you think they'd have left a note. Plus, well, they just opened in mid-April. Or maybe this space on Seventh Street near Avenue A is jinxed. In quick succession this spot was nearly the East Village Pie Lounge.... Previously, it was the short-lived Italian cafe Affettati.

I went to this place and it was not so stellar. Amazingly slow service, especially since we were the only people in there and the food was unimpressive. Vibe is weird. Would not be shocked or sad to see it go.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen customers outnumber staff in this place. Although I feel for anyone who tries to open a place in this economy, this never seemed like a concept that was going to work.
ReplyDeleteIt never seemed all that inviting; maybe even a little too stuffy looking. And the 1-2 tables dragged out to the sidewalk seemed equally uninviting.
