I've always been intrigued by the cabin-looking home atop the Kiehls's building on 13th Street and Third Avenue. Here are two photos from a post that Scouting NY did on the house earlier this year...I read somehwere that one of the Coen Brothers used to live here...




Anyway, I came across a listing for 203 E. 13th St. #PH4B. Apparently this one has been on the market for some time. This PH doesn't include the cabin, though you at least have use of part of that rooftoop space...

    How much street noise do you suppose thy get up there? And how about the nosy 110 Third Ave. condoers gawking at you....?

    We'd also need to create some sort of transporter so that we'd never have to walk on that stretch of NYU Avenue.

    I believe that corner had the last pear tree standing from the Stuyvesant orchard, or maybe the first (I'm too lazy to google it to find out the exact details). I am glad to know now which of the 4 corners it was on because in my mind's eye it was on the southwest side. I have to adjust my mind's eye now.
