  1. that's too bad. i loved this place. i worried when they raised the prices and changed the menu to this crazy font that was really hard to read. hopefully it was not the font that did them in. anyway i hope they stick around the EV! good luck cosmic cantina

  2. Cosmic Cantina is originally from North Carolina. I lived briefly in Durham many years ago and became addicted to their huge, healthy burritos. So I was happy to see them move in to the EV. I too hope they can find a way to relocate. Their food is really good (although I haven't been there in awhile to see the price changes Glamma mentions). Better them than another Chipotle.

  3. I loved the food pre-menu change, but seriously cannot read the menu now. I walked out after getting dizzy. I wonder whose idea it was!

  4. I'll miss it. Won't miss all the Corona-soaked NYU kids there, but will miss the good food and friendly staff.

  5. I am a carnivore and was truly disappointed when this place went Veg on us. Oh, well.

  6. I used to eat there before the menu and pricing change, which I found enraging. In the initial aftermath you paid based on weight and they couldn't give you an accurate estimate of what your burrito would cost. The "by weight" thing also had the effect of raising the prices a lot. I think this policy was corrected somewhat, but shortly thereafter they went vegetarian, which I am not. So, despite the fact that it was nearby I stopped eating there. Too bad, because I missed the burritos from their early days.

  7. This place is amazing. The vegetarian burritos are so good you don't miss the meat. And the no-ID bar in back was always a fun night out.

  8. This place really went south when they switched to an all-veg menu - I don't know why. They became a sodden, wet mess.
