Three hopeful signs on the Bowery

Things we've seen of late on the Bowery that don't have to do with new restaurants or hotels or condos...

The return of the Squeegee Men to Bleecker and the Bowery...

...the ol' middle finger-do-not-cross gag...

...the signs on lower Bowery asking people not to pee in the doorway ....

  3. The asshole squeegee guy is Chester- a beligerant MF. Most of the homeless folks in the area are nice, and we know them by name and say hi. Not Chester. I motorist actually got out of their car and cold-cocked him last week. Knocked him out cold.

  5. if I know anything about people, especially young, drunken varieties, that "don't pee" sign is only going to invite more urination if anything. that's the world we live in folks.
