Life Cafe is temporarily closed

Last evening on 10th Street and Avenue B. No mention of a closure on their website or Twitter feed.

  1. I walked by yesterday and for the first time saw the artwork on their gates. Looks like they are doing some inside work. They have been aroud a long time and I don't think they are closed for any other reason. I love LIFE!

  2. We were in Life Cafe monday night when we were abruptly told by our waitress that we would not be served our dinner order, because they were being shut down by a health inspector.

  3. 39 points on their last inspection but it doesn't say they are closing until they fix. You can search DOH inspection results below - always good to check before you head out to dinner if the place you're going to has a rat problem.

  4. That's such a shame. Life used to be really nice, but the quality of the food and the staff when to hell when the management changed a few years back.

  5. do they still have hte beautiful hostess with the tattoo sleeves? Always wondered why such a beauty ruined herself like that. She was a real sweetheart too, apart from being beautiful.

  7. 39 points? More like 90. Based on the Department of Health report, things looked pretty grim. Wouldn't eat there in the future..
