Perhaps there's another app that creates Avenue C

EV Grieve reader (and blogger) Shawn Chittle notes the new MTA iPhone app for the East Village/Lower East Side ... As he points out, Avenue C is missing (sorry World Cuppers!) and Avenue D is apparently now subbing for the FDR...

In the comments, BabyDave points out the rather interesting new route for the Bowery....

  1. It's also a pretty interesting take on the Bowery. But at least all the subway stops seem to be there.

If only someone could figure out a way to make it clear to people that no, you can not transfer from the uptown 6 at Bleecker Street to the B, D, or F. (I realize this will change, but I am guessing not for a couple more years.)

  2. Ha! I didn't even notice the Bowery on first glance...

  3. Aw who needs Avenue C anyway, it's overrated. Besides, if it's not there, the total bar population plunges!

  4. Looks like they erased all of the noisy bars on upper Avenue A *and* all the people who complain about them. If only CB3 were so efficient.

  5. Too bad I can't stand the way the new map looks are the farce they call the Orange M.
