Shepard Fairey mural gets boarded up, no trespassing signs

As Jeremiah first noted this morning, the Shepard Fairey vandalism magnet on Houston and the Bowery is getting covered up... this afternoon, a worker was also putting up "no trespassing" signs...

  1. I mean come on, dude is a "street artist", shouldn't it be expected that your work is "embellished" by others? This is just plain wrong.

  2. No trespassing! Don't touch the muraltisement! This is private public art! Move along now and don't forget to buy something from Target.

  4. Jesus, look at all the Irony all over the place, just splattered and caked all over this terrible mural.

Could we get them to board it up all the way to the top?

The street spoke loudly and clearly. Bravo.
