ReplyDeleteFinally someone intelligent has written something about this wonderful and rare fabric and notions shop in the East Village. 20 years ago, I had my sewing machine repaired there and it's been humming every since. I have purchased upholstery fabric to cover my dinning room chairs; exquisite yards of brocade in which I have made drapes for my living room and bedroom, and zippers to finish pillows that adorn my bed. The service I received has always been excellent and the man is always wearing a smile--even in this economy. Let's support this business because of it's contribution to our neighborhood, and it's the last of it's kind.
