'Draconian regulations' for 2 Coop's pool and club



A tipster passes along the following from 2 Cooper Square:

New draconian regulations for roof deck, pool and club level at 2 Cooper Square. Airlines can take some pointers from these guys. Seriously, Bernie Madoff doesn't even have this many rules in prison.





We're still going over the ample rules. Hmm. Two guests per unit per day? Guests must wear Guest Wrist Bands? Bathers must shower before entering the pool? NO SMOKING or GLASSWARE OF ANY KIND!

    how about a $500 security deposit to use the grill + $200 for the first hour and $100 per adt'l hour + $100 mandatory cleaning fee.

    A lot of those rules are normal for pools. Glass, bathing before entering, smoking, etc. Doesn't mean people follow them, but usually posted on a sign. But I guess it's more fun to get huffy about it!

    I'm sure that anyone putting down $20,000 a month for an apartment took a quick gander at the club rules.

    But it is kind of amusing to see that you can still be fucked over for $20K a month. LOL !

    No that is encouraged (why not, in order to pay 20K/month means you had to have shitted on someone along the way)

    I live in the building and think they are running an awful show. The new rules are only the tip of an dreadful iceberg. I already can't wait until my lease is up next year. This building sucks!

    @anonymous 2 Cooper resident. have you tried complaining to management about anything? Were they at least open to hearing your input?

    These rules are commonplace for public/community swimming pools. They seem pretty liberal when it comes to guests. It's a private residence so a certain level of security is necessary. The ability to pay $20,000 a month for lodging does not entitle anyone to behave irresponsibly with regard to community facilities. That said, it's probably not so much that misbehavior is anticipated as it is that management is taking a defensive posture against future personal injury lawsuits.
