Nice to see 16 Handles customers treat our streets like garbage cans. Really nice.
ReplyDeletethe folks on the roof at 440 east 9th street are waiting for these schmucks to help with their destructive roof-top party.
ReplyDeletemaybe they 'll get drunk enough to fall off the roof.
if this is the future of our neighborhood we are all in trouble.
Nice to see Zen Palate re-opened. I'll stop by for a meal and try to wish away the T.G.I. Fridays eyesore across from the park.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the other name on the awning on the Avenue A side of Percy's Tavern?
ReplyDeletegreat to hear about zen palate! but financier on astor? oy vey. officially a wash
ReplyDelete@anon 5:09 Missed the other name. What is it?
ReplyDelete"Knife + Fork Restaurant"
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean it's coming back?
Grieve, I live across the street and checked on the way home. It says "Percy's Tavern" on one awning and "Knife and Fork Restaurant" on the other. That's pretty charming. I don't know why but I have good vibes on this place. I think it may be like a Telephone, a nice place to hang with friends but also somewhere you can bring your momma for brunch (it helps that my own momma is Irish).
ReplyDeleteIf Percy's can make a vegetarian shepherd's pie like Telephone we will be friends forever.
also ... YAY ZEN PALATE's BACK!
oh snap, jinx Anon 9:28
ReplyDeleteI got a good vibe from the Percy's owner when he spoke before the CB3.... So I remain hopeful that it will actually be a nice neighborhood kinda place for adults...
