The Mary Help of Christians Church Flea Market returns next week

This morning, police told the usual crew of sidewalk sellers on Avenue A at 11th Street to move out...

One of the men told me the police said that they needed permits to sell their junk. The man didn't seem to mind because he'd be back next week "inside."

That's right... the Mary Help of Christians Church Flea Market returns for good next Saturday....

...and, please note... you'll have to sell your drugs and porn elsewhere...

  1. Good to hear. Look forward to going next weekend. Will be nice to see the vendors and neighbors again. I hope there are Tamales again--

  3. This is wonderful news! Mary Help of Christians Flea was my favorite weekend thrift excursion when I first moved onto the block. I haven't really gone to flea markets since it closed down. And it always made me sad that the lot was empty when people clearly wanted to sell things.

Wow, thanks for making my Sunday! The only thing that could make it better is to hear we're getting a big Chico mural back too.

    :D
