Retro beers at Yankee Stadium
Oh. Chalk this up as one of those "posts that I never got around to posting." Anyway... you can buy retro beers at Yankee Stadium... a mere $9 for an old-timey 16-ounce can of Schlitz or Pabst... As everyone in the line was saying, "these aren't retro prices..."

Yeah the prices are crazy for those beers, but they're not anymore crazy than the rest of the food at the stadium. I always grab a Schaefer when I first get into the Stadium.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of beer options too (not just retros and shitty bud light) with things like Hoegaarden and Czechwar on tap at some parts of the stadium.

ReplyDelete@Goggla Ha! I thought the same thing when I revisited the Old Town the other day.... But the guy did buy us a round...
ReplyDeleteAt Old Town you have to watch the game on the TV. But there are big differences with the guinness served place to place. Not even the Old Town price might be a rip off.
ReplyDeleteWhile I agree that Citifield is better, I was pleasantly surprised at the last time I was in Yankee Stadium. You can find decent food there that is slightly overpriced, not absurdly overpriced, but you have to look for it. And the beers are at least large, some of them are the equivalent of two beers at many EV bars.
