Former Aces and Eights closed for good

That's the word anyway on the street... Saturday was supposedly the last night for Aces & Eights, according to a source...and the bar was closed on Sunday night around 10, when this photo was taken....

  2. The CB3 calendar isn't out yet, but I hear this will be on the docket for Nov 15. After months on a revolving series of temporary licenses, their last attempt was denied. Given the way this place operated, it's going to be an uphill battle for sure. Thinking some community outreach from the new owner would be worth his time. I hope that it gets a new life as something without the school buses full of kickball teams coming into the neighborhood. But at the same time I'm getting a little weary of empty storefronts down my way. It can be pretty dark down there without any late night lights.
