I went out on Saturday night as usual out of the neighborhood and returned to my apartment at around 1 am. The block was crawling with pukes. I couldn't even get to my front door. Once inside, my apartment which has back west facing windows, I was blasted with dance music. Where is this coming from? It was so loud the whole building was shaking. It sounded like a block party with giant boom boxes.
ReplyDeleteIt was coming from Diablo Royale, both the basement lounge and ground floor. The front door to the basment was open in the front and the back door was open too, so I called 311, got put on hold for 30 minutes and eventually filed a noise complaint.
The 311 report says that an officer stopped by at 1:30 and found no problem.
You know its funny but the blasting dance music didn't come to an end until around three thirty am.
I had the priveledge of hearing a bunch of screaming idiots sing along to the Eutythmics "Sweet Dreams", Madonna "Like a Prayer", la Bomba and many others.
What is up with their sign in the bus stop? I keep seeing them put their sign right in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking things even further. In these photos it has moved to the bus stop. As if things weren't really bad in front of there, they make it worse with the one thing they can easily control.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with the first response. I came home around 2am and the noise was out of control. I do not even live in this exact building and everything was shaking and it sounded equivalent to Webster Hall. I really dont even know what else to compare it to and the fact it was the loudest thing I ever heard from a few buildings down must mean they upset SEVERAL people. I do believe this place had good intentions in the very beginning, but they were losing money because the food sucks and now it is no holds barred to make $$. I will be out of town but I encourage everyone to speak their mind at the Nov 15th meeting as they clearly are NOT doing what they said.

Thanks for your comments - If you could send an e-mail to CB 3 and tell them who you are and where you live and exactly what you heard and observed those of us who live near this place would really appreciate it as the folks involved in Diablo like to downplay community concerns and complaints. CB - 3 will treat written comments as though you came and spoke in person.
