The mystery of the abandoned delivery bike in Stuy Town

EV Grieve reader Nixta sends along these photos of an abandoned restaurant delivery bike that has been locked to this tree in 4 Stuyvesant Oval in Stuy Town since.... Halloween!

Nixta notes there is now a Stuy Town "Remove your bike" notice... Still, questions remain!

So... what happened to the delivery person? How much longer will the bike stay locked to the tree? Who locks a bike to a tree?

  1. Its owner probably got lost looking for the right building to deliver the pizza to, and is wandering the Stuytown maze like the Flying Dutchman, seeking safe harbor. Send out a search party.

  4. Have you read Lux Living lately? I'm assuming one of those lunatic Stuytown curmudgeons finally snapped and shot this poor guy dead. Look for him stuffed and served as someone's Thanksgiving dinner.

Nah, those delivery guys work hard for their money.

If he asked us to spare a swipe at the L train going to Williamsburg, that would be a different story. ;)
