Arlo and Esme closing on East First Street after 3 years




The cafe/club combo is closing... at the former site of the universally reviled East Village Yacht Club.

  3. You may remember it as East Village Yacht Club which sucked but when it was Chez Asada it was a blast. Good times.

  6. But where will the kids from Jersey go to? Sure, you could smoke at home, by its way cooler to drive 20 miles and stand outside a club smoking, yelling at your friends outside a dogy hookah bar, who also can't get in.

    I'm too young to be this cynical.

    Already missing the Elephant.
