...and a little snow to keep you company on the subway platform...

  1. I can't tell you how much I love this blog. I was born and raised in Alphabet City from the 60's thru the 8o's. Although I moved away some years back I still consider it my home and your page really brings me back. Thanks!

  2. Anyone spot the EV snow penis drawer? Is he taking the holidays off?

  3. I love that with all our advancement, at points we might as well be living in a third world country. That photo with the snow on the platform is pathetic. No MTA worker could shovel the snow onto the track? Takes a couple of minutes and does the system no harm. Yet there it is, a friggin snow bank on a subway platform. Nice.

  4. Not to mention its friggin dangerous having all that slushiness where people are forced to exit trains.

  5. I've been worrying about the mess that the city has become due to the snow. I've the attitude that we knew it was coming up the coast well before it hit. Talking to the bus divers hanging with their stranded vehicles.
Turns out, sanitation is responsible for snow removal - yep in the subways too - 30% layoff this year. Currently, they are probably hiring seasonal workers.
