Google Maps can't quite locate the East Village

Several readers have sent me e-mails about Google Maps...

So, go to Google Maps and type in the zip 10009.

Road trip!

(And it seems as if 10003 is more accurate.)

Anyway, last Wednesday night, I contacted Google CEO Eric Schmidt about this. I said he'd better fix this ... or they'd be a shakeup at the top!

  1. So are we now the Upper Westside Village?

I get nosebleeds that high up in Manhattan.

  2. I submitted the discrepancy using the "report a problem" feature on Google Maps. Maybe it's the harbinger of an impending earthquake or something. Good thing I'm moving out of this zip code... weird.
