Red-tailed hawk rescued on East Third Street

Yesterday, we posted the item on the red-tailed hawk that took up residency in the airshaft of an East Third Street building...

Gothamist has follow-up story this evening... The hawk, who now needs a nickname, was helped out by a resident and Yojimbot at the Origin of Species ... You can read the story here.
