Today in Le Souk resurrections

Despite a rather permanent closure, Avenue B's former hookah hotspot continues to put the fear in nearby residents.... from an advertised New Year's Eve bash ... to hosting loud parties... Now comes a listing on the Joonbug website....

"Come listen to the hottest Rock/Electro/Dance music from past and present. Party with all the beautiful people and enjoy the sweet tastes of HOOKAH!!"

Perhaps this listing is a mistake, and intended for Le Souk's LaGuardia Place location... or, well, I guess we'll see some beautiful people on Avenue B tomorrow night....

  1. Octavia's Porch was also listed on various club sites for New Year's Eve. I saw this one on Club Zone on 12/5/10.
This is how it was listed.

The add is still on line. The pricing is now gone. So what's wrong with this? I'll tell you what's wrong. This place is supposed to be a restaurant not a club. Their hours of operation are: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday-Sunday, 11:00 am to 11:00 pm Tuesday-Wednesday and 11:00 am to 12:00 am Thursday-Saturday.
I asked around and apparently businesses can apply for a one time extension of their operating hours. Residents who investigated said that the SLA did not approve an extended hours permit and have yet to issue a violation.
