The Hells Angels unveil new line of defense for their bench

Back in June 2009 we pointed out the sign on the bench outside the Hells Angels headquarters on Third Street ...

This was an effort to thwart clueless hotel guests from the Sanctuary Guest Suites next door for plopping down here ... However, this reporter still saw European thrillseekers taking a seat here...

So now! It's a little more difficult...

Previously on EV Grieve:
The Hells Angels kindly request that hotel guests please refrain from sitting on their bench

  2. Whats the world coming to when even the Hell's Angels can't get respect from tourists?!

  3. while we understand this latest move, why not just remove the bench at this point? if they're gonna use a club anyway, it defeats the purpose.

  4. Vinnie: "When in doubt, knock em' out !".
Now if only the Angels had followed this rule when the hipsters and Eurotrash were first swarming in, we might not have the saturation that we see today.

  5. The Hell's Angels need to beat the shit out of some nasally impaired, cell phone chatting, hydroponic coffee bean growing hipster and leave his lifeless body on the bench as an example.

  6. The Hell's Angels are a bunch of overweight Smelly wannabee Gangbangers who are heading straight to Medicaid and Emergency Room all on the public dole. What a waste they really are.

  7. @Anon 5:53, you should try and tell that to the tourist who had their arm broken for sitting on one of their bikes a few years back.

  9. This looks like the bar that would slip down in front of you if you were on a ride at Disneyland. Wait? Maybe this isn't a regular bench! Maybe it's a ride!

  10. Anybody who wants to know the real deal on the Angels, the good, the bad, and the ugly, should read Hunter S. Thompson's Hell’s Angels-a Strange and Terrible Saga. Published in 1966, still as relevant today as a brilliant study of the dark side of the US.

  11. @Crazy Eddie: That's my favorite Hunter Thompson book. Although I've always believed he staged the ending, but that doesn't make it any less a great book.

  13. Screw Sanctuary Guest Suites! They just got busted for renting a Peter Cooper Village apartment and using it as an illegal hotel.

  14. Sanctuary Guest Suites thinks NOTHING of renting the apartment right next to yours (with no screening process and for WAY big nightly buck$). She just keeps renting one flat after another and making it look like someone (real) actually lives in them (albeit in a full-on West Elm kinda way)! Then she rotates new bodies in and out, over & over. Not that that would/could compromise your safety or anything...
