The Mystery Lot is living up to its name!

During the weekend, a reader sent along this photo from the beloved Mystery Lot on 13th Street... Good lord! What IS THAT!?

We investigated...

We also dispatched EV Grieve Technologically Advanced Form of Extraterrestrial Life Correspondent Bobby Williams to the scene...

It's either:

A) An art project created from materials found in the lot
B) An impromptu shelter
C) A monster

Being rational, we definitely think it's a MONSTER.

PS
We also got this upclose shot via James and Karla Murray...

  2. ET has now entered his Alzheimer’s years. He thought he was returning to his old neighborhood, the forest and is now confused. Like Uncle Junior. Vey sad.

  4. Not only does his head stand out, so does his outfit! Looks like one of those Kenneth Cole little jackets. Perfect for spring.

  5. i think this could be the real bronx zoo cobra. what they captured in the bronx is a fake or made up one, to alleviate the public's fear and anxiety. if not, then let's call this the east village mystery lot cobra

  6. It's Nessie in a puffy jacket. She heard about our snowtastic winter and couldn't resist a vacation from the loch.

  7. Man, this makes me happy. I spent my college years living directly across the street from that creepy lot.

You know, once they found a body in a trunk there?
