NYPD responds to an alleged shoplifter
Just after 9 this morning, the NYPD swarmed around an alleged shoplifter on 14th Street and First Avenue... a witness thought the apparent theft occurred at the CVS... in total, there were nine officers on the scene...

ReplyDeleteWhen the cops don't do their job they get lambasted. When they do attempt to enforce the law you same people ridicule them.

ReplyDeleteGet used to it. It's all about intimidating the public. That's why there's a meter maid every five feet in Manhattan and Cops with AK 47's in Grand Central. We are all guilty until proven innocent since 9/11....
ReplyDeleteI, for one, am elated that they're showing such a presence. I've made numerous attempts to get cops to show up to beatings, excessive (like EXCESSIVE) noise, robberies, and hit and runs to no avail. About time they do their jobs. Sure, it's just shoplifting and doesn't compare to more serious crimes, but shoplifters should still be punished.

ReplyDeleteThat corner has gone down hill severely the past year or so. It's gotten so bad that businesses like Wine on First close at 10 rather than 11 like they used to.

So you think it's fine when cops fail to do their jobs. As long as they empty out the entire precinct for one shoplifter.
You must be some kind of genius spotting how everybody else's priorities are all messed up.
