Rapid Realty opening on Avenue B

Rapid Realty — described as "New York's No-Fee Apartment Leader" on the RR website — is ready to open an office in this formerly empty storefront just off 13th Street...

Anyone ever use them to find an apartment...?

  2. I moved w/in the neighborhood near the end of last year and I recall yelp reviews of this company being generally horrendous. I'm sure different branches are different in quality. Still, so many reviews were awful its hard not to think of this place as barely a legitimate business.

  3. Whenever a Realty business promises no fees, bend over and get ready for a Rapid dose of Realty reality.

  4. Worked with this company a couple times, and I've noticed a disturbing trend...They found me a place in Ft Greene a couple years back, then - bam! - they opened an office in Ft Greene. 6 months ago they found me a spot in the East Village, and now - boom! - look where they are! Like three blocks from my apartment!

It begs the question: are they following me?

  5. Rapid Realty is happy to open its doors on May 1st and become part of the East Village community. This Franchise will operate as the Standard of what Rapid Realty is as a whole. I would hope you would give us, young business owners, an opportunity to display our services and dedication to our business before we get our feet off the ground.

Hi, my name is Stephanie Miranda and my partner Scott Powers, would like to invite you to our Grand Opening party located at 212 Avenue B on May 1st at 3pm. Stop in any time for a chat we would love to get to know you.

  6. @Stephanie Miranda: How long will your grand opening party be going on till? On Sunday's I usually don't get rolling out till late afternoon/evening, I'm usually hungover to beat the band all day. Is midnight too late to stop by? I appreciate your invitation.

  8. I know them from all the spammy ads they put on craigslist. Do a search for Rapid Realty and some ammenity, say, "yard". When you get to the ad, you'll find no mention of yard. Highlight the text at the bottom. You'll see that they've put in a bunch of keyword spam in white text. Super sleazy.
