The renovated Caffe Cotto will include a late-night to-go window

We've written a few posts about Caffe Cotto, currently undergoing a gut renovation on Avenue C at Eighth Street...

EV Grieve reader @bobbyjohnspeaks heard from a worker that the new cafe will include a late-night to-go window on the Eighth Street side of the building ... which is one reason why workers have been knocking out the bricked-up windows...

  1. A "late night to go window"?? WTF is that all about? So now the corner of 8th and C is to become a drunken pitstop for the after-hours frat crowd? F'ing just what the neighborhood needs!

  2. I agree with Anonymous. Although that's what the worker said to me I am severely hoping he's incorrect and there's not going to be an all night window. It would be awful! (@bobbyjohnspeaks)

  3. This has to be an uninformed worker..I hope! I just walked by and had a closer look - the windows are standard double-hung and they seem to be in the dining room - not a likely spot for a take-out or drunk-through window. Again, I HOPE!
