And the proprietors have outlined their very specific plans for 14 Avenue B with a letter and menu posted on the front door of the building. (By the way, as you may recall, Discovery Wines is moving next door to 16 Avenue B in the coming weeks.)

"Our goal is to produce an in-house, award-winning craft beer to be consumed and sold on premises, complimented by a fine cocktail and wine selection paired with a foodie restaurant with a steak-based menu.
"We additionally plan to create a retail space similar to the Beer Room component of Whole Foods in order to offer craft beers and beer-related dry goods to neighborhood enthusiasts."

ReplyDeleteif that is the case YAY! i love Prime Meats and would love to walk down the block rather than trek to carroll gardens for even a slight imitation of. that said where can one get a good steak hereabouts? and what's funny is that there isn't a brew pub in the ev strange as it may seem. better that than 10 cent wings, riding bulls and keg parties..........

ReplyDeleteCopying a menu is embarrassing and lazy. You might as well buy a hot dog from around the corner because the food is probably shitty if they can't even write a menu themselves.
It's the guy from Superdive so I imagine it will be just as classy an establishment.
ReplyDeleteFor background, I just looked up this space and over two years ago a lounge named "Boteco" was supposed to open there but never did; before that it had mainly short-lived lounges as tenants: anybody remember Curious Purple, Climax, Delft, The Street and Cachette? Delft was the only one in the bunch to stay open longer than 1 year.
