'How to Make it in America' films at Ray's Candy Store

Last Monday, Ray was busy cleaning a DOH-shuttered store on Avenue A... And this past Monday (uh, yesterday), a reopened Ray's was the backdrop for a scene from the HBO show "How to Make it in America."

The film crew was lined up along Avenue A...

Meanwhile, Bob Arihood has an anecdote on the filming here.

  4. "How to Make it in America."

Kind of ironic considering what happened last week. Like Lisa said, I hope Ray got a decent paycheck out of this. He needs it after the DOH socked him with all those fines!

  5. i wouldn't mind gossip girl filming at ray's and then being a stop on the gossip girl bus tour or being the next magnolia cupcake patronized by sexually confused teens and tourists, after this
