I went to Ray's for the first time ever today after reading the series on the closure and reopening. I always avoided the store because it looked sketchy, and, well, like it would utterly fail a health inspection. Now that it's passed, I thought it'd be a good time to give it a go,especially with the rave reviews on yelp and elsewhere. The beignets were great, put all the street fair cold, overly greasy versions to shame (yes these were greasy, but appropriately so) and the fro yo was quite tasty. Thanks for the coverage, I'm happy to patronize a store run by such a dedicated local businessman.
@Anonymous 12:08 AM: Good for you, Ray's is not sketchy at all once you get inside, a really friendly place. And the best vanilla milkshakes on the planet. And this was a great photo by Dave on 7th. Keep clicking away! Appreciate the photography!
