Extra Place is turning into a big sidewalk

We've been watching the work of late on Extra Place. A worker said that they were installing new pipes or something.

And now look what's happening... it's getting sidewalked!

Oh no! No more skateboarding! Or dogwalking! Or basketball playing! Or "Wonder Woman" posing!

Four years later, maybe it really will look like this some day...



Someone please get Cheetah Chrome on the phone...

    Yeah, that's what's been holding this stupid project up, a Lego-like faux sidewalk. sigh...

    It used to be cbgb's 3rd bathroom.. I found a dead guy across the street from extra place in '02

    I had enchiladas from Oaxaca the other night and could hardly believe how tasty they were. And I am from California. highly recommend.
