Wai? Cafe ready to open as Y Cafe on Avenue B

As we pointed out back in April, Wai? Cafe had left its First Avenue home... and was relocating to Avenue B near 11th Street... There is now a sign... as well as menus ... looks as if they're going by Y Cafe these days.


The menu looks similar too...


No exact opening date just yet.

    Yea! I never got a change to visit when it was in the E. Village. Glad it has resurrected! Keep us updated. ;)

    Boo. I like "Wai? Cafe" way better, its more distinctive. But, glad it's still around. Good homey cheap eats.

    Wai Cafe was never expensive but, a little more than I often wanted to spend. Y is less than 1/2 block from my apt I think might be a little less (small place, less overhead?). Everything is SO GOOD and fresh that I keep making excuses not to eat at home. Gloria (hostess) is a sweetheart, too.

    Thanks for the comment, Etienne. I recently had a meal delivered... large portions. And, as you said, if was all very fresh. Hope that they can flourish here.
