Looking at the BMW Guggenheim Lab

So the BMW Guggenheim Lab had its first sneak preview for residents last evening leading up to its Grand Opening on Wednesday... We didn't go. But! You now have a good idea of what the place will look like...

Can't quite tell all that the Brooklyn-based Roberta's has on the menu... roasted eggplant sandwich... tomato cucumber salad ... and best cheese something ever ...

[Updated] Thanks to @thePeterHa for a better shot of the menu...

The gala opening-night party is Tuesday.

  1. What a piece of shit. BMW and Guggenheim, this is the best you can do? It looks like a re-purposed construction site costing all of $20 to pull together.

  2. with so many of these things, celebrating the EV/LES means packing the place with Brooklyn-based businesses. it's an interesting trend.

  3. they might as well call this the guugenheim lab tavern, or pop-up beer and wine garden. anything for that liquor license. instead of 'will cook for a liquor license', it's 'will think for a liquor license'.

as if the patrons there think...

you know what places were think tanks to 'explore issues confronting contemporary cities'? -- rapture cafe. cedar tavern. cafe figaro. now gallery. the fat black pussycat. now all gone since they were thought out...
