Pulino's enters Bowery sidewalk cafe garden party; DBGB put on notice

Three months after DBGB installed a garden oasis on the Bowery, corner mate Pulino's has retaliated with its own urban greenery...

Check mate, Boulud!

  1. I'm not worried. Nothing has held me in such rapt attention as the sidewalk seating outside DBGB... for months and months now! Pulino's simply doesn't have the same je ne sais quoi.

  2. What Pulino's needs more than greenery (a nice little touch) are sound barriers - the kind you find along an interstate highway. The roar of the car, bus and truck traffic along the Bowery negates an pleasure of sitting outdoors at Pulinos.

  3. The Pulino's corner is a pedistrian nightmare. Do they not have to leave any room for folks to walk past, or are just supposed to take our chances in the street? When a restaurant is this inconsiderate, it's really hard to support them.

  4. That's gotta be one of the worst intersections around here to have sidewalk seating. I like the food at both those places ok but the thought of sitting out there in the hot summer next to all that traffic is completely off-putting.

  5. Mmm. Is that fresh ground black pepper in my pasta?
...or grit, grime, asphalt, diesel particulate?
    Yummy!
